Living with Anxiety
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a feeling of unease, worry or fear which, when persistent and impacting on daily life may be a sign of an anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorders can be hard to pick up on and can sometimes be dismissed. An occasional feeling of anxiety, particularly about events or challenging situations, is normal and extremely common. However, if feelings of anxiety regularly cause significant distress or they start to impact on your ability to carry out your daily life, for example withdrawing or avoiding contact with friends and family, feeling unable to go to work, or avoiding places and situations…then it may be a sign of an anxiety disorder.
Symptoms of anxiety include changes in thoughts and behaviour such as:
- A feeling of dread
- A feeling of being “on-edge”
- Difficulty concentrating
- Difficulty sleeping
- It can also involve physical feelings such as dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations (a noticeably strong, fast heartbeat), sweating, shortness of breath, headache, or dry mouth.
Types of Anxiety Disorder
There are different types of anxiety disorder, each of which will have slightly different symptoms and treatment. Some examples of anxiety disorders include:
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- Panic Disorder (regular sudden attacks of panic or fear)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Social Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Specific Phobias (overwhelming and incapacitating fear of a specific object, place, situation or feeling)
There are many different factors that may contribute to the development of anxiety – genetic, psychological and social factors. Anxiety is often triggered by poor underlying health which may be a symptom of a lack of energy in our body which in turn, supports our nervous system. Our mind is the most important tool we have, and learning to control it and make our thoughts more positive can make a big difference. However, sometimes we still need to seek help from other sources.
How Master Oh Can Help
Anxiety can be alleviated at different levels by calming the mind and the body, and providing our nervous system with energy, or Qi, which is our own sustainable energy.
As part of Master Oh’s consultation and treatment, he looks at the deeper issues, highlighting the subconscious patterns at play, and then guiding you to think and act in a different way. He is also able to pick up inherited energy patterns which influence your own levels of energy within your system. Master Oh has an innate sense of what is the root cause of the problem – on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
Master Oh’s Energy Treatments are a powerful combination of acupressure and sound, which help to open the energy channels and improve the flow of ‘human energy’ - Qi. Qi is responsible for the communication between all cells, organs and systems in the body. It is vital to our wellbeing, relieving physical and emotional pain, increasing vitality and enhancing the body’s self-healing capacity.
With his sensitive touch, Master Oh can feel how energy is circulating in your body and where it is blocked. He is also able to assess your energy reserves. He then works on your entire body, applying gentle acupressure on the main energy points to release blockages, clear toxins and recharge your energy system. Throughout the treatment he uses a breathing technique to make a sound vibration that transmits Qi deep into the energy channels. After the treatment, many people experience relief from pain, stress and anxiety, as well as a new sense of calm, lightness and increased mental clarity.
Master Oh is a London-based energy healer and natural health practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience working with the original energy that creates life, which is Qi energy. Having himself suffered and overcome chronic issues at an early age, he has dedicated his life to sharing his healing method with the world.
He has opened Qi centres in Australia, America and Europe, and is constantly looking to help more people live free from physical, emotional and mental pain. Master Oh believes that by developing our innate good-hearted, generous and compassionate nature we can not only bring health and happiness into our lives, but also bring peace and harmony into our world.
